LOCAL COMMUNITY WORK

The Terminus Initiative
As one of the partner and founding churches of this community project, we support the Terminus Initiative on Lowedges estate and many of our members volunteer. Elaine Hollings is a member of Greenhill Methodist Church and works as the Community Outreach Manager for The Meeting Place.
The area is considered deprived by many measures but is rich in community. We work hard to support & empower through supported volunteering, health groups, conversation, social groups, education, mental and emotional well-being, poverty relief and more. You can read about our work on the website linked below.
The Meeting Place is a welcoming community space for people to come and take part in activities, meet new people and make new friends. With the easing of Corona Virus restrictions, we are in the process of opening up this space to deliver social and lunch groups, support groups, arts & crafts, mother & baby groups, kids clubs and youth provision. Watch this space for details, dates and times of forthcoming activities and events.
