The Terminus Initiative

The Meeting Place is a welcoming community space for people to come and take part in activities, meet new people and make new friends.  We deliver social and lunch groups, support groups, arts & crafts, mother & baby groups, kids clubs and youth provision. The unit is located on the bus terminus on Lowedges Road, Sheffield.

Our church is one of the partners and founding churches of this community project, we love and support the Terminus Initiative on Lowedges estate and many of our members volunteer. Elaine Hollings is a member of our church and works as the Community Outreach Manager for The Meeting Place.

Lowedges estate is considered deprived by many measures but is rich in community. We work hard to support & empower through supported volunteering, health groups, conversation, social groups, education, mental and emotional well-being, poverty relief and more. You can read about our work on the website linked above.
